Ready for an adventure that leaves you restored? A group trip to our Islands has everything you need to make new memories, reset your nervous system and spend quality time together.
With blue spaces, miles of cliff trails, wellness experiences and adventure activities - and of course an excellent selection of restaurants and bars - it’s the perfect weekend getaway.
Just 40 minutes from the UK, but a world away.
Here’s our guide to a group wellness weekend on the Islands of Guernsey.
Activities & Wellness Moments
Let’s start with what to do during your wellness weekend. Whether you’re looking for mindful moments, active adventure or a restorative blend - there’s plenty to discover.
Peaceful Moments
Ideal for relaxing as a group. These experiences prioritise peaceful, mindful opportunities for spending quality time together.
- Dip at The Bathing Pools - Visit our tidal pools in St Peter Port to experience sea swimming at all tides. The pools fill at high tide and retain the water through low tide, with steps into the pools for each access. The Bathing Pools also have changing rooms and an on-site cafe so you can warm up after your dip.
- Unwind with Sauna Sessions - Try Hot Haus in St Peter Port and Rock Box at Vazon Bay. Both are right on the coast, so you can alternate steam and dips! You’ll also find coffee spots at The Bathing Pools, Vistas Beach Cafe and Corla Kiosk to carry on the relaxation afterwards.
- Try a Yoga Session at Sunrise - Support your circadian rhythm with early morning light and a quiet moment. Try a class with GoYoga at the Bathing Pools and South Cliffs, on the beach or in peaceful parks with Yoga Elements Guernsey, and at All About Yoga Studio in St Peter Port. If pilates is more your style, why not join a group class at Forme.
- Try a Sound Experience - Like Change My Frequency or Sound Baths at All About Yoga. Sound classes create a lovely opportunity to pause and restore.
- Try a Mindful Creative Class - Like Japanese calligraphy, willow weaving, or pottery painting, or a painting class at Moulin Huet, which inspired Renoir. Let your creative brain take over and engage, while you have fun all together.
- Explore Equine Healing at The Centre - Try their group Sacred Heard Class, and learn about the amazing power that horses have to support emotional wellbeing.
Water Adventures
Being by the sea helps to reduce feelings of stress and regulate the nervous system. Tap into this blue space wellness by heading out on a coastal adventure.
- Try a Surf Session at Vazon - Both Guernsey Surf School and Shore Thing offer lessons for adults and groups to get you from beginner to cruising the waves. Great for a day of fun, laughter and confidence building.
- Join a Kayak Tour - Outdoor Guernsey and Adventure Sark run tours exploring our Islands’ cliffs, coves and wildlife. For keen puffin spotters, you can also take their tour around Herm. Join an existing group tour or get in touch for one of their Specialist Tours. If you’re feeling extra brave, your group could also try their Coasteering Tours, a thrilling adventure jumping off cliffs around our Islands.
- Try Paddleboarding - Put your group’s balance to the test! Paddleboarding is a great way to enjoy our Islands' coastline. Hire your own boards, join a group tour or try SUP Yoga if you’re feeling confident.
- Explore with Guernsey Swim Adventures - GSA can take you on guided wild swimming adventures, designed to suit your group’s swim abilities. A great way to see somewhere unique!
Land Adventures
Head out in the fresh air for a group activity that leaves you feeling present and connected.
- Hire E-Bikes or take a cycling tour with Go Guernsey - Bikes are a fantastic way to explore Guernsey, letting you cruise the country lanes and coastal trails. Go Guernsey offers specialised tours seasonally, which let you learn about history, food and culture as you pedal. Self-guided tours are available too. We highly recommend an e-bike to tackle the hills!
- Hedge Veg Picnic & Beach BBQs - Around our Island you’ll find Hedge Veg stalls, honesty boxes that showcase homegrown and handmade produce from Islanders. Collect picnic ingredients from the stalls, supplement it with a trip to The Farm Shop or butchers to get local meats, cheese and bread, and you’ll have the perfect Guernsey-grown picnic or BBQ set up. You can read more about beach BBQs and picnic spots here.
- Join a Foraging Workshop - A great way to learn more about the land and local food. Try a WildGuernsey experience like their WildFood and WildSeashore Foraging Workshops, or head to the coast with Guernsey Seaweed to learn about (and taste!) the wonders of this underrated ingredient.
- Hike Guernsey’s Trails - Getting out in the fresh air is one of the best ways to unwind on our Islands. We have a selection of great hikes here, as well as in the VisitGuernsey App. You can also look out for the Cliffline posts which mark some of the most popular trails around the cliff paths.
- Kiosk to Kiosk Walks - A fantastic way to get a taste of Island life and enjoy the outdoors. Kiosks are a classic part of Island life, and you can find them dotted along our coastline. Ramble between them, enjoying tasty bites like Guernsey ice cream and gâche.
- Try a Group Sport - In Guernsey you'll find lots of places to play sport together including the Padel Club and Tennis Centre, the golf courses and driving range at St Pierre Park, or you could join in Guernsey's ParkRun on Saturday mornings.
Island Hopping
- Hop on a boat and head to even smaller Islands to really get away from the busyness of modern life. On Sark and Herm you'll find no cars or streetlights, just peaceful lanes, idyllic beaches and welcoming pubs and kiosks for dining.
- Or take a stroll across the cobbled causeway to the wilderness of Lihou Island. Pack a picnic, explore the nature reserve or take a dip in the Venus Pool.
- You could also take a flight or boat to Alderney to explore their amazing birdwatching opportunities, or explore their years of history.
