Our Islands are soaking up the sun over the next few months, so there is no better time to be planning your island getaway!
With concerts, festivals, outdoor explorations, cultural activities and more on offer, you're sure to find plenty to do this summer.

AUGUST
1st August: KPMG Castle Nights
Experience an evening of local music and entertainment in the grounds of Castle Cornet this summer.
A variety of acts for all the family will be performing throughout the historic castle grounds in the South Battery, Outer Ward and Middle Ward to create a festival atmosphere.
Pack a picnic and soak up the atmosphere!
1st - 2nd August: Afro Fusion Weekender
Welcome to the first African Fusion Weekender at St James. Prepare for an explosion of Afro Pop styles, including Afro Beats, Amapiano and Bongo, brought to you by well-known African music stars.
Headlining Friday is Kanda Bongo Man, who single-handedly gave the world the infectious Kwasa Kwasa Dance. He is one of the most famous world musicians and one of the first pioneers of Soukous music.
Both days will feature Dubafrique, a group of African Dancers and Drummers. Originally from Kenya, they perform their shows wearing authentic African costumes, delivering a cultural experience like never before seen.
1st - 9th August: Guernsey Street Festival
Come and see Guernsey's annual talent celebration in St Peter Port.
The main festival will run for two weeks in St Peter Port from 26th July to 9th August to celebrate all forms of entertainment. Including performances from musicians, actors, dancers, fairies, puppeteers, storytellers, and superheroes - plus there will be stalls from artists, jewellers and many more.
1st - 29th August: Art at The Park ‘From Then Till Now’ by Trudie Shannon
Witness Trudie Shannon's watercolour exhibition, 'From Then Til Now', at The Art at the Park Gallery, The Folk and Costume Museum.
The exhibition is free to enter and accessible friendly.
1st - 30th August: 'Diversion'
Hosted by Art for Guernsey, 'Diversion' is an exhibition in two parts. The first is a curation of international and locally based artists revisiting the street art theme that features in Transformation, the hugely successful first exhibition held at the Art for Guernsey gallery. The second is a project that will take place throughout the summer, and will see Mansell Street turn into a vibrant street art canvas by visiting artists, locally based artists and children attending the charity's Summer Holiday Art Club.
1st - 31st August: Guided Walks Around St Peter Port
Join one of Guernsey's tour guides for a 90-minute exploration around the island's capital, St Peter Port. Taking place daily at 10:30am from the Visitor Information Centre, these tours continue rain or shine, and can also be enjoyed in Dutch on Mondays at 2pm.
1st - 31st August: The Guernsey Ice Cream Route Map
Enjoy a delicious self-guided walk around the coast with Guernsey Dairy's Ice Cream map! Sample your way between kiosks and cafes, and you can even get a loyalty card to collect stamps and earn a free ice cream! With 20 stops along seven walking routes, you will be spoilt for choice with flavours!
1st - 31st August: Guided Coastal Walks
The Guernsey Coastal Walk Series 2025 invites you to join their weekly Saturday venture, meeting at L'Eree Bay at 2pm for a 2-hour guided stroll around the coast. Discover tales of history, folklore, wildlife and more as you enjoy some of the most picturesque spots on Guernsey.
1st - 31st August: Dressing the Dream
Hosted by the Sark Art Gallery & Museum, the Dressing the Dream exhibition is a display of costumes and props made by the Sark Theatre Group for their 2017 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Visitors are welcome daily, from 10am to 4pm.
1st - 31st August: Exhibition at Sark Art Gallery - Ecosphere Collection
The brand-new Sark Art Gallery and Museum will be hosting a new exhibition: Ecosphere Collection by Olympia McEwan.
Alongside portrait campaigns and commissions over the last 20 years, Olympia began painting wildflowers and pollinators in 2018. Since then, she has created two distinct practices, describing both subjects as "a joyful reflection of [her] love for people and their stories, as well as the beauty of nature and its fragility."
Olympia's work has featured in several exhibitions, including at the Greenhouse Gallery at Guernsey Museum at Candie, the Gatehouse Gallery at Elizabeth College, the National Trust of Guernsey's Art at the Park gallery, and the Royal Court House. Some of her portrait paintings are currently on display at the Guille-Alles Library and the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. She also has several of her portrait paintings in the permanent collection of the Guernsey Museums & Galleries.
Entry is free and the gallery is open daily from 10am - 4pm.
1st August - early October: Island RIB Voyages
Island Rib Voyages are available to book online up until 7th September, and feature a whole array of experiences, including the Herm Explorer, Sark Coast and Caves, Legends of the Coast and the Hanois. Their season runs until early October, so keep an eye on their website for more dates.
2nd August: The Doghouse Tribute Nights
The Doghouse restaurant is ready to kick off their final year with the legendary tribute nights. Some of the top UK tribute bands and timeless hits will make this last year one to remember. This event occurs on various dates from June to November.
2nd August: Fabric Collage - Theme Seascape | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Join this creative textile workshop and use scraps of fabric and simple running stitches to make a small fabric picture with a seascape theme. A great introduction to working with fabric collage, which will inspire you to experiment further with this fascinating and therapeutic art form
2nd August: Silk Painting | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
A fantastic opportunity to learn the art of tie-dye. In this workshop, you will make your own unique tie-dyed silk scarf. Jill will explain how to select colours which work together, and how to fold and twist your fabric to create that authentic tie-dye look.
At the end of the session, you will have a beautiful scarf to take home with you and keep for yourself or give as a gift.
2nd August: Folk 'n Ale Sark Day
Time to have a day away, have yourself some leisure. It's Folk 'N Ale Day, a chance to give your belly pleasure!
2nd & 3rd August: The Rat Pack Live In Concert
Combining classic hits with incredible performances and captivating storytelling, this talented ensemble of vocalists and musicians will take you on a musical journey through the smooth vocals, infectious rhythms, and unforgettable melodies that made the Rat Pack a global sensation.
2nd & 3rd August: Herm 360 Swim & Walk
The Herm 360 Swim & Walk, supported by the Leonard Acott Foundation, is now open for entries.
Swim 6.5km around the beautiful island of Herm or break up the swim with a walk along the south coast cliff path.
3rd August: Beginners Needle Felting | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Needle felting is the process of compressing clean, carded pure wool fibres with barbed needles to create solid shapes. It is a fun and rewarding craft, and once you have learned the basic methods, there is no end to the variety of sculptures you can create.
In this 2-hour beginners workshop, Liz will demonstrate the basic techniques, explain the differences between the various types of wool, needles and felting mats available and lead you through the step-by-step process of creating your own needle felted sheep.
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st August: Candie Concerts
Each Sunday in August, live music returns to Candie Gardens, and the concerts are completely free! Come enjoy a stroll through the gardens and listen to the melodies of some skilled musicians.
3rd & 24th August: Cobo Balcony Gigs
The Cobo Balcony Gigs have become a major part of Guernsey summers over the past 30 years and bring a real carnival atmosphere to the Cobo seafront whilst raising much needed funds for local charities.

4th August: Decoupage | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Join Susan for a fun morning learning the art of decoupage to create beautifully decorated shells or mats. Using paper serviettes, thin material and glue, you will learn how to transform these everyday items into a decorative item for your home or to give as an unusual gift.
4th August: Mixed Media Collage | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Join Susan in this fun and absorbing workshop where you will make your own mixed media collage. Using a variety of materials, including ribbon, hessian, felt, cotton fabric, and glue, you will create your own collage on wood or a textile backing.
4th - 9th August: Alderney Week
Spend a week in the sun and enjoy live music and entertainment, parties, carnivals and wild and wacky events for the whole family! With over 70 events happening, Alderney Week is still the Channel Islands’ biggest annual festival.
4th, 7th, 19th, 20th & 28th August: Herm Circumnavigation Kayak Tour with Outdoor Guernsey
This unique 2-hour circular trip around Herm includes views out to the other Channel Islands and a chance to spot seals, dolphins, peregrines and much more. There might also be the opportunity to stop and explore the Herm silver mine!
Please note tours must be pre-booked.
5th August: 'Art for the Terrified' | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
In this workshop, you will be using watercolours, pens, pencils and other mediums to create a Concertina booklet with hard covers.
Everything you need will be provided for you in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You will leave with a lovely piece of artwork to be proud of and the confidence to take your creativity to new levels.
5th August: Introduction to Cyanotype | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Come and learn about the cyanotype process at this great introductory workshop. This ancient form of photography uses light-sensitive chemicals and the sun to develop an image.
You will learn about the history of this fascinating technique and how to create your own photograms, and will be able to take home your original artwork at the end of the workshop
5th, 12th, 19th & 26th August: Occupation Tours 2025
With 2025 marking the 80th year of Liberation, every Tuesday until 28th October, you can enjoy a guided tour to discover life during the Occupation in Guernsey. Your guide will take you to some of the concrete fortifications on the island, recounting local stories from the war. Towards the end of your tour, you will have a chance to visit the German Underground Hospital, a museum set in a complex series of tunnels built by the Germans as a fuel storage facility for U-boats.
6th August: Pebble Painting and/or Bottle Decoupage | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Enjoy a fun and creative afternoon with Susan, transforming smooth pebbles into beautiful decorative items. Alternatively (or as well), learn how to transform an everyday glass bottle or jar into a decorative item using the art of decoupage.
6th August: Jim Davidson

6th, 13th, 20th & 27th August: Go Guernsey Guided E Bike Tour
Each Wednesday this month, you can enjoy an expertly guided e-bike tour around the Island of Guernsey. Starting in St Peter Port, you will discover historic sites and buildings, barracks and fortifications, and take in the stunning views across to Herm and Sark. If you're lucky, you will even have the chance to meet one of the famous Guernsey cows!
7th August: Encaustic Art Demonstration | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
Encaustic Art is created by heating coloured beeswax with electrical tools to manipulate the wax into images on high gloss paper.
In this free demonstration, Lynne will show the different effects that can be achieved with the different tools and, if time allows, there may be an opportunity to have a go yourself at the end of the session.
7th August: Chali 2Na
Chali 2na has established himself as one of hip-hop's most celebrated and charismatic personalities.
Most well-known for co-founding music groups, Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, Chali released his debut solo album "Fish Outta Water" in 2009. Since then, he has toured the world with his band, known as House of Vibe, and has collaborated with some of the industry’s most recognised and respected DJs and Musicians.
Now, as Chali’s catalogues continue to grow, he is finding unique ways to share his art with the world.
7th - 9th August: Fly in a Spitfire
Available only on limited dates in August, enjoy a 30-minute Spitfire flight over and around Guernsey.
Take off from Guernsey Airport and head towards the coastline, then on to sights such as Castle Cornet for a truly mesmerising experience. Even during the shortest of flights on offer, you will be able to circumnavigate the entire island.
Strapped into the rear of the iconic aircraft in your very own cockpit, which is kitted out with a full set of controls, you will have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the legendary aircraft for a short time yourself.
8th August: Creative Doodling | Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Workshop
In this 'have a go' workshop, you will decorate a lunch bag, a cosmetic bag or a coaster with pens and acrylic markers.
Using a variety of templates and stencils, Ann will guide you through this absorbing and decorative craft. Create your own designs or get some inspiration from the pattern books she will have on hand to show you, then let your imagination fly.
8th August: Dodgy with support from The Shabs
Favourites of the UK live scene, there aren’t many festivals or towns Dodgy haven’t played in the 34 years they’ve been together. In that time, they have released five albums, sold over 2 million records, been streamed over 50 million times worldwide, and enjoyed 12 Top 40 singles, including the massive hit 'Good Enough' - officially one of the most played tracks on British radio in the last 30 years.
They have toured and played with artists including The Who, Oasis, Blur and even The Jacksons. Dodgy’s legacy as one of the standout British bands of the 1990s remains intact, and they have become a cherished part of British musical history.
8th & 15th August: The Doghouse X Factor
Happening throughout various dates from June to August the Doghouse X Factor is a fun night of entertainment and some fantastic acts competing. This event is hosted by Island FM in association with the School of Popular Music. The acts involved will be competing for some amazing prizes, including a chance to support the Cobo Balcony Gig on Sunday 24th August 2025. So come along and enjoy an entertaining evening of acts.
9th August: Mirror Ball Night - Reggae Party with The Marley Experience
The Marley Experience are back again!
Come and celebrate the legendary Bob Marley with the band playing all his greatest hits. A night of singing and dancing to your favourite reggae music.
The bar and forecourt will be open for food and drinks from 6.30pm.
9th August: Andrew Newton live!

10th August: Guided tour of Batterie Mirus
Embark on a captivating journey as Tours of Guernsey invite you to join us for a guided tour of one of the historic gun emplacements which makes up part of the remarkable Batterie Mirus fortification. This exclusive opportunity grants you access to a hidden gem of military history, revealing a labyrinthine of once-secret corridors and rooms of the largest gun emplacements built in the Channel Islands during WW2.
10th & 24th August: Sunday Afternoon Walking Tours
Enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour by Keith Pengelley, co-host of the 'Islands at War' podcast and regular guest on BBC Radio Guernsey, and discover the historical sites of the island.
13th - 14th August: The West Show
Established over 100 years ago, The West Show is Guernsey’s premier agricultural and horticultural show and prides itself on having retained Guernsey traditions alongside entertainment for all the family.
Featuring exhibits by Guernsey residents in the traditional Country Show classes such as Cakes, Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, and more, there will also be UK and local acts providing entertainment both in the arena and around the showground.
Add to this trade stalls, a funfair, pet tent, craft activities for little ones, face painting, tractors, military vehicles, lawnmower racing and much more, and you have the perfect day out (or two!) for all ages.
13th - 17th August: Alderney Chamber Music Festival
The Alderney Chamber Music Festival returns for five days of musical masterpieces, performed by some of the world's finest young musicians.
16th August: Donkey Derby
Head to the beautiful grounds of Saumarez Park for one of the most-loved family events in Guernsey's summer calendar.
Donkey races and rides, stalls and games, a food village and licenced bar await! All proceeds go to local causes.
16th August: Mirror Ball Night: The Summer of Love
Journey back in time to the legendary summer of 1967 for an eclectic explosion of peace, love and timeless music that inspired a generation.
The incredible 6-piece live band The Psychedelic Circus will play all the songs you know and love from the likes of The Mamas & Papas, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, the Beatles and many more.
17th August: A walk through time: Explore Fort Hommet's Historic Headland Odyssey
Embark on a captivating journey through history from Neolithic times to today with a tour of the Fort Hommet headland. Unveil the strategic positioning from the era of the imposing Napoleonic Fort commanding panoramic views across the west coast and inland. Hear how this area was transformed during WW2 and view rare photographs from a private collection.
Exclusive access will be provided to two private bunkers (a restored personnel shelter and M19 bunker), each bearing witness to the island’s wartime saga.
19th August: Viatores Quartet performing Vivaldi's The Four Seasons
Enjoy the internationally renowned Viatores Quartet performing Vivaldi’s 'The Four Seasons' at Town Church. Whether you are a seasoned classical music lover or simply looking for a beautiful and uplifting evening of music, all are welcome. Admission is free with a suggested donation of £15.
20th - 21st August: The North Show & Battle of Flowers
The Guernsey North Show and Battle of Flowers have been two of the main outdoor events in Guernsey’s summer calendar for many years. Run by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society, the event takes place in the wonderful leafy setting of Saumarez Park and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
22nd August: ECSOC Friday Evening Concert
2025 sees ECSOC celebrating its 50th Anniversary.
The Friday evening concert will include The String Group and Training Band, our groups for our youngest players, as well as the Course Jazz Band featuring intermediate and senior wind, brass and percussion players.
23rd August: ECSOC Saturday Evening Concert
2025 sees ECSOC celebrating its 50th Anniversary.
The Saturday evening concert will include the String Orchestra for intermediate players, Intermediate Wind Band, and all Senior players, culminating with the full Symphony Orchestra.
23rd August: Seaweed Foraging Tours
Learn everything there is to know about the fascinating history of seaweed in Guernsey and its many uses in cosmetics, farming, cooking and the fashion industry in this 90-minute tour at Port Soif. A hands-on learning experience, participants will be using seaweed moisturiser and will be able to eat varying types of fresh seaweed straight from the beach.
24th August: ECSOC 50th Anniversary ’Scratch Concert'
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, all former students and tutors are invited to take part in a ’scratch concert’, rehearsing during the day with a concert performance at 6.00pm.
Items are likely to include pieces for full orchestra, string orchestra and wind band. We also hope that one of our eminent former students will be able to play a concerto movement.
This should be a truly memorable concert to celebrate what has become a Guernsey and St James institution.
24th August: Guernsey Classic Vehicle Club at the Folk Museum
The Guernsey Classic Vehicle Club (GCVC) will be making a return to the Museum courtyard on Sunday, 24th August 2025. It is a wonderful opportunity to look at the fantastic classic cars from the GCVC and visit the Museum & Gallery. The cars will be present at the Museum 3pm - 5pm.
24th August: Unveiling History inside the German Underground Hospital
Experience a guided tour inside the largest structural reminder of the German Occupation existing in the Channel Islands. Your guide will provide you with information on the construction and use of this facility during WW2.
This site also houses some interesting exhibitions, and has aerial footage photographs from WW2 of various areas around the Bailiwick.
24th August: Vale Earth Fair
Take a trip to Vale Castle for the Vale Earth Fair 2025, the Channel Islands’ longest-running music and arts festival. From midday to midnight, experience a vibrant celebration of music, culture, and community — all in support of humanitarian causes.
There will be plenty to enjoy from dedicated local food and charity stalls, to a dedicated children's area with a family friendly atmosphere.
25th August: The Farmhouse Gazebo Gigs 2025
Join The Farmhouse for a perfect afternoon of great food and live music on their poolside terrace.
The Last of the Light Brigade will be headlining, with support from The School of Popular Music. Tickets include a Carvery Buffet and dessert, with food being served from 12:30pm and entertainment from 2pm.
30th August: 'Michael' starring Ben at Beau Sejour
Take a journey back in time to remember Michael Jackson – the man, the music and the magic.
'Michael' Starring Ben is a hit theatre production starring the UK's ultimate Michael Jackson tribute star, Ben Bowman. The show features a live band, dazzling costumes and the performer's iconic dance routines. It also showcases the greatest hits of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, including Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller and Man in the Mirror.
31st August: EDABL Seafront Sunday
St Peter Port's picturesque seafront becomes a busy market filled with local arts and crafts, produce, drinks and food on certain Sundays throughout the summer. Stroll along the front and enjoy the casual, friendly atmosphere.
Enjoy a lovely al fresco day, celebrating local produce including food, jewellery, drink and much more.

2nd - 26th September: Art in the Park - HeARTfelt by Maggie Le Conte
A new art exhibition by Maggie Le Conte entitled 'HeARTfelt' will be at the Art at the Park Gallery, The Folk and Costume Museum, Saumarez Park this September. It will be open daily from 10am until 5pm (except on the final day when the exhibition will close at 2pm), the Gallery has free entry and is accessible friendly.
Maggie's bright and detailed paintings delight the viewer, whether it is the bold, stark design of a snowy night at Stonehenge, an intense, vibrant scene of the Albecq rocks or a flower-packed view of the Victorian walled garden with plants so intricate that you could almost identify each type! Come and marvel at the detail.

5th & 6th September: Defying Gravity - West End Women
Featuring the best-loved songs from the West End and Broadway, performed by a cast of incredible vocalists and an all-female band, this is a must-see for anyone who loves musical theatre.
With songs from Wicked, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia, Waitress and more, experience an unforgettable evening of stunning vocals, backstage anecdotes and fascinating insights into the world of our West End Women.
5th & 6th September: The Doghouse Tribute Nights
The Doghouse restaurant is ready to kick off its final year with the legendary tribute nights. Some of the top UK tribute bands and timeless hits will make this last year one to remember. This event occurs on various dates from June to November.

7th September: Sunday Afternoon Walking Tours

10th September: Guernsey Air Display
Guernsey’s annual air display has been enjoyed by thousands of people for over 60 years, hosting some of Britain’s most historic and treasured military aircraft, including the iconic Red Arrows, one of the world’s premier acrobatic display teams.
The Air Display takes place between Guernsey and Herm, with amazing views from Guernsey's east coast.
10th September: Flower Demonstration with Sharon Doner
Floral Design Guernsey is hosting a flower demonstration with popular YouTuber Sharon Doner at St Martins Community Centre on the 10th September.
Tickets are £17 and will be available on the door, which opens at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
There will also be a raffle to win some floral arrangements.

A Great British Detective Play with a twist - by Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson
Holmes and Watson meet Poirot and Miss Marple (alongside the usual suspects) in a spoof homage - who murdered Lady Fanshawe? Why is Matron Maudesly so friendly with one of the guests at the Clinic of Hopes and Cures? Why have the sound cues got mixed up?
Made all the more tricky to tell, as Robertson and Collett attempt this 6-actor show, given that the other 4 are stuck in a broken-down van on the M6. With only the two of them to play all the assigned roles, what could go wrong?

13th September: The WW2 British Commando Raids on Sark
Walk the actual routes of Operation Hardtack 7 (1943) and Operation Basalt (1942), British Commando raids, which resulted in Adolf Hitler’s infamous Commando Order, responsible for the deaths of thousands of Allied soldiers. Visit the field where an RAF Lancaster bomber crash-landed in November 1943 after mistaking Sark for the Isle of Wight, and, if time permits, a German underground tunnel.
13th September: Secrets of Saumarez Park & Discover the Walled Garden
A walk around Saumarez Park focusing on the Saumarez family, architecture, and gardens. Discover the link with oriental culture, why there is a Japanese walk, the lost buildings and a secret walled garden.

14th September: The Butterfield Half Marathon 2025
The Butterfield Half Marathon is a sensational, fast, and flat course around the beautiful Guernsey coastline.
Commencing at L'Eree, situated in the southwest corner of the island, the route follows a stunning 13.1-mile coastal road, running along the seafront and concluding with a grand finish in St Peter Port.
2025 marks the 25th year the event has been organised by Guernsey Athletics, ensuring yet another incredible event.
14th September: Seafront Sundays
St Peter Port's picturesque seafront becomes a busy market filled with local arts and crafts, produce, drinks and food on certain Sundays throughout the summer. Stroll along the front and enjoy the casual, friendly atmosphere.
On 14th September, the event will centre around the Association of Guernsey Charities.
14th September: The Ghosts of the WWII Mirus Gun Battery
A tour of one of the four large Mirus underground bunkers that made up the largest gun battery in the Channel Islands. You will discover the paranormal activity and ‘ghostly goings-on’ that have been reported in these bunkers, with first and second-hand stories and sightings, including your guide's own personal experience.
14th & 19th September: Rollo's Raiders (Pembroke Coastal Walk)

15th September: In the Footsteps of the Le Marchants
A walk through town with tales of the reckless Romans, belligerent Bailiffs, parental pelicans, brave braves, peculiar parcels and more.
15th & 26th September: Folk on Foot, Fairies & Forts
Beginning at Portelet, head to where some say fairies meet, and others say footmen on an ancient procession feasted. You will also visit fortifications, some from WWII, others medieval. The area’s history is further evoked in the origins of place names and their stories.
16th September: Bordeaux Houichepotte
Just like the patois for pudding ‘Houichepotte’, the area of Bordeaux on the northern edge of the Vale is a delightful mix of a little bit of everything from Guernsey’s past. Embark on a walking tour and discover the prehistoric Le Gardien du Tombeau at Les Déhus, to quarries and a hero of the German Occupation, to modern-day resourcefulness.
16th September: A Place of Peace - Discovering the Shell Shrine
A fascinating coastal walk from Vazon to Albecq.
You will have an opportunity to visit The Shrine of the Sacred Heart (a former German bunker decorated with a million seashells), hear stories of local history and folklore and find the mysterious lion, baboon and camel rocks.

A circular coastal walk around La Bouvee, St Martin, taking in cattle drinking troughs, WWII bunkers and crab pots at a small fishing harbour.
Venture past the areas mentioned in the Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society book, and enjoy an optional cream tea at the end of the walk.
20th September: NEW TOUR - Incarceration, Fortification, & Escapes
Join Jo May and Occupation historian and writer Nick Le Huray for a walk around the Bridge, Vale Castle and Bordeaux.
You will hear stories of three escapes by boat during the Occupation, being held prisoner, fortifications along the route and some local characters of the time.

23rd September: NEW TOUR - Medieval Marshes and Mills
A stroll through the picturesque lanes of the Castel Parish surrounding La Grande Mare on the edge of the Vazon Bay Coastline, which was once medieval marshland.

La Fêtê des Bêtes is back with a stomping Folk and Ceilidh edition to celebrate Mabon, the autumn equinox and midpoint between light and dark.
Opening up the weekend are the witty and endlessly funny ‘queens of the music hall’, The Ukuladeez, before Chimera rings out the ceilidh for the rest of the evening.
On Saturday, The Space Pirates of Rocquaine, Clameur de Haro and The Button Pushers will kick things off before the headline act, We Are The Monsters, close the night with big riffs and world-class folk music.
27th September: L'Eree Coastal Walk
Join a guide on one of the favourite walks on some of the most historic headlands in the world. With ancient tombs, raised beaches, and bunkers, as well as fairies and Napoleonic encounters and an airfield.
27th September: German Occupation - The Ones Who Stayed Behind
Enjoy a walk around our historic town, with stories of the lives of islanders who stayed during the German Occupation.

28th September: Herm by Beach and Dune
Join horticulturalist, Malcolm Cleal, exploring the wilder side of Herms coastal environments, flora and fauna, including foraging the shoreline and inland to discover what’s edible and useful and sampling some complementary homemade fennel and elderflower gin along the way.
