Nature Guernsey Summer Family Event

The annual Nature Guernsey Family Day will take place this year in July on Sunday 26th July Pleinmont Headland. 

Whether your family is interested in flowers, birds, moths, bugs or bats, loves our environment and enjoys craft activities, this is the place to be. 

Nature Guernsey events are free and open to all. Donations are always welcome.

Throughout the day there will be guided walks and activities! Please see the schedule below: 

8:30am – 9:00am – Moth Trap Emptying  

9:00am – 10:00am – Guided Bird Walk 

10:00am – 11:00am – Children’s Bug Hunt 

Weather dependent and to be confirmed nearer to the time – 11:00am – 11:45am – Guided Botany Walk 

Ongoing activities throughout the morning: – Bird Ringing Demonstrations, – Moths on display, – Dolphin Watch & Surveying, Solar Astronomy – Bat Board Display – learn about our local species, – Zoology Hedgehog  Tunnel demonstration

Children’s Activities: – Native seed planting – Leaf/Nature texture rubbing  – Create a nature collage – Colouring
