The Islands of Guernsey are a hive of community activity and unique festivals, with events being organised all year round.
Whether you want to experience the best of local and off-Island bands at a music festival, indulge in fresh local produce during the food festival or celebrate our Island's heritage at the shows and fêtes, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
We’ve gathered together a list of the upcoming festivals in Guernsey, for you to bookmark for your trip to our Islands in 2025.
Music and Dance Festivals
St James Dance Festival
When: 19th - 21st April
Where: St James
A weekend full of dance workshops and socials, a 50s dance party on Saturday night featuring ‘The Class of ’58’ on of the UK’s most popular Rock’nRoll and Doowoop bands, plus a traditional Tea Dance on Sunday to round off the weekend.
The Class of ’58 are a regular at top-tier festivals and events in Europe and the Rest of the World and have completed headline performances at many major festivals including “Chromefest”, NSW Australia, The Summer Jamboree Italy, Bethune Retro France and Rockin’ Doowop Gran Canaria among many others, and have recently completed a four-date Arena Tour as guests of popular main-stream German artists, “The Firebirds”.
Guernsey Together Festival 2025
When: 14th June
Where: The Rabbit Warren, behind the Go-Kart Track at Victoria Avenue
The celebration of music, dance, and food & drink, famous for creating unforgettable summer memories, and most importantly a great Guernsey vibe, will be held on Saturday 14 June 2025.
The 5th anniversary of the festival will be headlined by Rickie and Melvin, bringing their iconic energy straight to the stage- so be sure to save the date. Cobo Bay Balcony Gigs
When: 4th May, 26th May, 15th June, 13th July, 3rd August, 24th August
Where: Cobo Bay Hotel and Beach
The Cobo Balcony Gigs have become a major part of Guernsey summers over the past 30 years and bring a real carnival atmosphere to the Cobo seafront whilst raising much needed funds for local charities. Music starts at 3pm.
Chaos Guernsey
When: 27th - 29th June
Where: Pleinmont Point
It’s with a mix of excitement and nostalgia that we announce the final year of our beloved Chaos in its current form. We never really expected it to have gone on for so long and while we love you all, we have parties to go to!
As it happens 2025 is the 25th anniversary of Greenman MCC and we plan to mark this over the Chaos weekend, so it's not going to be understated, we're going out with a bang!
Guernsey Street Festival
When: 26th July - 9th August
Where: St Peter Port
Guernsey's annual talent celebration in St Peter Port.
The main festival will run for two weeks in St Peter Port from 26th July to 9th August to celebrate all forms of entertainment. Including performances from musicians, actors, dancers, fairies, puppeteers, storytellers, and superheroes - plus there will be stalls from artists, jewellers and many more. Vale Earth Fair
When: 24th August
Where: Vale Castle
Come along and enjoy the sounds of local and overseas acts for a day of glorious music with the perfect views to match – a mini Glastonbury by the sea!
The Vale Earth Fair is the longest running music festival in the Channel Islands. Over the years we have grown both in size and stature, always trying to bring music acts over to treat festival goers while raising money for humanitarian organisations. The event is run solely by passionate volunteers who collectively bring together 6 stages and over 50 diverse acts covering multiple tastes over the course of 12 hours on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Tennerfest 2025
When: 1st October - 31st October
Where: Eateries across Guernsey
Each year, local chefs gear up for a focus on food with the Tennerfest Food Festival. Hotels, restaurants, bistros, gastro pubs and cafes all take part in providing fixed price cost menus showcasing the best of their cuisine and the local produce available in Guernsey. The sun may have set on summer, but October and November and great months to visit the island, especially if you love your food.
Even though Guernsey’s traditional cuisine has a distinctly Anglo-French approach, restaurants and eateries based on Chinese, Indian, Italian and other traditional flavours will be taking part in Tennerfest and offering their own particular specialities.
Spring Food Festival
When: 1st April - 31st April
Where: Eateries across Guernsey
Celebrating Guernsey’s vibrant food scene, Spring Food Fest showcases the island’s finest local produce and culinary talent.
This exciting event invites both residents and visitors to explore a diverse range of flavours, with participating establishments crafting unique offerings that emphasise locally sourced ingredients. Participating venues will be offering everything from set menus and signature spring dishes to exclusive offers and special promotions.

La Beltane: Sark May Day Celebrations
When: 3rd May
Where: Sark
Supported by Guernsey Arts, our festival is a modern-day re-creation and celebration of an ancient Iron Age Celtic ritual and is the only of its kind to be found in the Channel Islands. Having been resurrected as a practice two years ago, it’s quickly become a popular event for our community, bringing many people together to acknowledge and revel in the birth of the summer and the beauty of our island at springtime. A team of enthusiasts put together a medley of traditional May Day celebration events, which kick off the season.
Guernsey Literary Festival 2025
When: 25th April - 4th May
Where: Different Locations around Guernsey
Come and celebrate great writing and big ideas in the beautiful island of Guernsey. The Guernsey Literary Festival, now established as one of the biggest annual arts events in the Channel Islands, will feature more than 50 events, including a full education and community programme.
Michelin-Starred chef Tom Kerridge, garden designer and BBC presenter Adam Frost and acclaimed novelist and creative writing teacher Kit de Waal are among the early speakers signed for the 2025 Guernsey Literary Festival, which runs from 25 April to 4 May.
Le Viaer Marchi
When: 7th July
Where: Saumarez Park
The hugely popular Viaër Marchi, hosted by National Trust of Guernsey on the first Monday in July, heralds the start of the Guernsey Summer season. Showcasing traditional Island crafts, favourite foods, music and dancing, this is a gathering enjoyed by generations of Islanders and return visitors since the 1970s.
Seafront Sundays
When: Multiple dates
Where: St Peter Port Seafront
Enjoy an al-fresco vibe along the St Peter Port seafront on certain Sundays during the summer months. Each Seafront Sunday has a different theme, but all offer the chance to stroll along the seafront, enjoying the casual friendly atmosphere.
Torteval Scarecrow Festival
When: 19th July - 20th July
Where: Torteval Parish Church
Starting from Torteval Parish Church, walk the Scarecrow Trail through some of Torteval’s delightful lanes. Popular with young and old alike,often with a current theme running through, food and drink available in the tents based in the fields in front of the church, trail maps can be picked up from here to guide you through the lanes to view all the scarecrows placed in residents front gardens.
Folk 'n Ale Sark Day
When: 2nd August
Where: The Old Hall, Sark
Time to have a day away, have yourself some leisure. It's Folk 'N Ale Day, a chance to give your belly pleasure! Saturday 2 August, 11.30am until late at The Old Hall Bistro Pub.
Alderney Week
When: 4th - 9th August
Where: Alderney
Spend a week in the sun and let us entertain you! Loads of live music and masses of entertainment for the kids, along with parties, carnivals and wild and wacky events for the whole family! And, with over 70 events happening during that madcap week of family fun and frolics, Alderney Week is still the Channel Islands’ biggest annual festival.
The West Show
When: 13th - 14th August
Where: Fields at L’Eree
Established over 100 years ago, The West Show is Guernsey’s premier agricultural and horticultural show and prides itself on having retained the Guernsey traditions as well as incorporating entertainment for all the family. Held over two days in mid-August, the West Show is located on the picturesque West Coast of Guernsey at L’Eree, a large open area which was a former aerodrome.
The West Show features large displays of exhibits by Guernsey residents in the traditional Country Show classes such as Cakes, Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Arts and Crafts, Photography and Plants together with Animal and Livestock classes, such as Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Pigs and Fur and Feather.
The North Show and Battle of Flowers
When: 20th - 21st August
Where: Saumarez Park
The Guernsey North Show and Battle of Flowers has been one of the main outdoor events in Guernsey’s summer calendar for many years. Run by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society, the event takes place in the wonderful leafy setting of Sausmarez Park and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
The programme of arena events includes showcasing local and off-island talent, a fun fair, and numerous stall-holders providing refreshments and other items for sale throughout the two days.
Sports and Outdoor Festivals
Spring Walking Festival
When: 24th May - 8th June
Where: Across the Bailiwick
Join experienced and professional Guides from the Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides for their annual Spring Walking Festival. From Saturday 24 May to Sunday 8 June, every day will see a range of guided walks exploring the wonders of Guernsey, Herm and Sark.
From coastal hikes and hidden ruettes tranquilles, to exploring our beautiful capital, each walk starts close to a bus stop and parking area, and all are rated from an easy amble to a more testing hike.
Rocquaine Regatta
When: 22nd July
Where: Rocquaine Bay
The Rocquaine Regatta is a fun-filled day at Rocquaine Bay on the west coast of Guernsey. Unusual boat races take place throughout the day with fishing boats, small sailing boats and motor boats participating in casual yet highly competitive races!
You can join the fun as a spectator or get the children involved by joining events such as the Junior sand events (apple bobbing, wheelbarrow races, pick a pint of winkles, three legged race) or the new ‘Wife Carrying’ event (self-explanatory) Pavement artists, the Guernsey Majorettes and live music will accompany participants, spectators and visitors all day and an evening barbecue will conclude a fantastic day of fun.
Havelet Regatta
When: 7th September
Where: Havelet Bay
Looking for a perfect summer send-off? Join us at the third Havelet Regatta for a day of family-friendly fun on land, sand and sea! Enjoy ice cream, balance bikes, madcap games, craft stations and much more.
Designed with families in mind, this seaside celebration south of St Peter Port raises funds for the Guernsey Cheshire Home and proudly champions sustainability and accessibility. We go the extra mile to ensure everyone can take part and enjoy the day.
KPMG Castle Nights
When: Multiple dates
Where: Castle Cornet
Experience an evening of great local music and entertainment in the grounds of Castle Cornet this summer. A variety of acts for all the family will be performing throughout the historic castle grounds in the South Battery, Outer Ward and Middle Ward to create a festival atmosphere.
Autumn Walking Festival
When: 13th September - 28th September
Where: Across the Bailiwick
Join experienced and professional guides from the Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides for their annual Autumn Walking Festival. From Saturday 13 to Sunday 28 September 2025, there are a range of fantastic guided walks, showing off the wonders of Guernsey, Herm and Sark.
