26 Cornet Street is probably the earliest remaining complete building within the town’s medieval boundaries. The National Trust of Guernsey has restored this exquisite 18th century house as a Victorian shop and parlour. Classic sweets are measured out in ounces from glass jars into paper bags. Hard to find traditional toys and games are all here … potato guns, sugar mice and specialist teas in caddies – to name but a few. Be surprised to discover nostalgic items you thought you might never see again. With a quirky, varied and pleasing stock list, visitors rarely leave empty-handed.

The Victorian Shop and Parlour, 26 Cornet Street, St. Peter Port is just a short walk up the hill from the Town Church. Visitors to Hauteville House, Victor Hugo’s Guernsey residence, will most likely pass The Victorian Shop and Parlour on their way towards Hauteville.
