Hauteville House

Seasonal closure of Hauteville House as of the 1st of September 2020.

The house and the garden will reopen to the public in the Spring of 2021.

New in 2021 : online booking of a visit slot will now be required for all visitors. Registration on the spot won’t be possible anymore.

The online booking website will be available at the beginning of next year.

We will then specify the terms and conditions regarding bookings and visits.

 For fourteen years, Hauteville House was home to famous French writer Victor Hugo, during his time in exile from France. Hugo spent his time there writing his masterpieces, as well as personally decorating the house.
