The Silbe Nature Reserve consists of paths running through a picturesque wooded valley and is an all-year haven for birds and flowers in the beautiful parish of St Peters.

Owned and managed by La Société Guernésiaise, the local wildlife trust, the reserve includes a deciduous woodland, wet meadow, scrub and bracken, and rough semi-improved grassland.

Few people know about this hidden gem, as it is tucked away in a quiet sheltered valley, making it even more worth the visit. If you keep quiet whilst exploring through the paths, you may come across birds, animals and insects to discover in this calm and peaceful reserve.

If you visit Silbe Nature Reserve in between mid-May to mid-June, you will see the reserve at its best. The array of colourful flowers will have bloomed, making this little piece of nature a treat to see.
