The story of Guernsey's people over the past 250 years is told through displays of trades, transport, fashions and items from daily life.
The National Trust of Guernsey Costume Collection showcases garments and accessories drawn from our outstanding collection which forms the Channel Islands’ only exhibition of historic textiles and clothing.‘Elegant Georgians’ – an outstanding exhibition of the finest 18th century fashions – is displayed on the first floor. ‘A League of Gentlemen’ opens on the ground floor with artefacts and garments pertaining to stories of sheer grit, patriotism and bravery by Island men.
The beautifully stocked Museum Shop is very popular with visitors and Islanders alike. Numerous art exhibitions take place each year at the Art at The Park gallery.
Less than a 15 minute drive from the town centre of St Peter Port and easily accessible by bus, the Museum is access-friendly with free-entry for all visitors.
