‘Guernsey Together – A celebration of community and kindness within the Arts’ - the day long event will be taking over the town seafront to provide a space for local arts and crafts producers to showcase their talents to enjoy in a fun, free and accessible way.
ARTS MARKET Arts Sunday is a day to celebrate our local crafters, musicians, performers and artists’ talents. A direct result of lockdown within the Islands has been an increase in self-sufficiency, and more talents arising to the surface. We are thrilled to showcase some familiar faces, newly emerged companies and newly found talents. We will have in the arts’ market an enormous selection of artisan creations: Guernsey crafts, home-bakes, exquisite gems, textiles and home fabrics and many painters, graphic designers and illustrators of a variety of genres, you cannot fail to be impressed. This Arts Market really does boast the craftsmanship of local, (some established, some start-up) enterprises. This is their platform to launch a new idea, and it’s the Guernsey Arts Commission’s remit to provide this, for free, to up-and-coming new crafters and artisans, whilst promoting the arts and culture in Guernsey. STAGES To accompany a day of shopping locally, there will be a variety of activities and entertainment on offer. The GAC hosts their regular GAC Music and GAC Performance & Dance stages, showcasing music, dance and theatrics from all different performers.
Upload Stage will be showcasing a handful of the talented singer-songwriters in the Island. OTHER The whole atmosphere will be one of community, where you can engage in workshops, watch local musicians and performers, whilst eating al fresco and enjoying the backdrop of our St Peter Port seafront.
The Guernsey Arts Commission promotes the accessibility of arts and culture to be available to everyone. This day is just that - so make the most of the biggest GAC event of the year, from 10am until 5pm.
