Complimentary heritage tours for guests at Camp de Rêves in May and June

Camp de Reves Glampsite invites guests on a holiday with a unique blend of history, adventure and luxury. 

The Mirus Battery is the largest battery in the Channel Islands and stands as a captivating testament to wartime history, situated just a 5-minute stroll from Camp de Reves Glampsite. This imposing German Gun Battery, a pivotal part of the Channel Islands' coastal defences, provides guests with a unique opportunity to explore its well-preserved structures and learn about its historical significance through a guided tour offered by Tours of Guernsey. This complimentary tour will take place on Wednesday 8 May and Wednesday 5 June from 11am - 12.45pm.

Tour Guernsey's distinctive Land Rover beckons adventure along the coastal road, revealing various bunkers and landmarks. With fun, educational, live commentary, the tour offers an engaging experience beyond conventional sightseeing, uncovering the island's hidden gems like the Battery Dollman Gunpit at Pleinmont Headland. This complimentary tour will take place on Wednesday 22 May and Wednesday 19 June from 11am - 12:30pm.

Within the glampsite there is a small bunker that once housed a German anti-aircraft searchlight, complete with the post where an anti-aircraft machine gun once stood. 

Camp de Reves has two accommodation options to choose from; Shepherd Huts or Safari Tents. Couples seeking a romantic getaway can escape to the cosy Shepherd Huts, nestled among pine trees on the lower field, featuring a radiator and a log-burning stove. Larger groups can opt for beautifully designed Safari Tents which accommodate up to 6 people and have enclosed gardens – perfect for children's play. All units have panoramic sunset  sea views, ensuite facilities and private decks with BBQ’s.

Camp de Reves goes beyond just accommodation, offering a range of facilities for all ages. The outdoor communal area boasts a pizza oven, fire pit, petanque pitch, and a spacious children's play area – ideal for family getaways. Additionally, the adjoining field can be used for ball games or picnics and the large oak frame barn provides a cosy indoor space for games and gatherings.
