The National Trust of Guernsey: Lé Viaër Marchi with Normandy ensemble ‘Lihou’ at Saumarez Park
Join the National Trust of Guernsey for Lé Viaër Marchi on Monday 5 July 2027, from 5pm until sunset at Saumarez Park — a much-loved annual celebration that heralds the start of Guernsey’s summer.
In 2027, the event takes on a special significance as part of the Year of the Normans, featuring Lihou, a group of musicians based largely in Normandy and led by Yvon Davy of Association La Loure. Their evocative performances celebrate the shared musical traditions of the Channel Islands and the nearby French coast.
Set within the park’s beautiful grounds, Lé Viaër Marchi brings together artisan stallholders, traditional food, craft demonstrations, music and dancing in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Attracting thousands of Islanders and visitors each year, it is a vibrant and authentic celebration of Guernsey’s heritage, offering something for all ages.
Tickets are £7 for adults, with free entry for children under 16.
