Sophie From Romania: A Year of Love and Hope with a Rescue Dog
After losing their beloved Collie cross, Cabbage, in January 2022, whose daily walks had eased Rory’s Parkinson’s symptoms, Rory and Diane discover Sophie, a Romanian rescue ‘looking for her forever home.’ Arriving in London on 17 December 2022, Sophie’s journey unfolds - from anxiety to joy, first experiences of play and the outside world - while Rory and Diane, guided by dog trainer Si, work to earn her trust and manage Rory’s Parkinson’s disease.
