Wings & Wheels Open Day 2026

The Guernsey Aero Club's annual Wings & Wheels Open Day returns on Sunday 30 August 2026, offering a family-friendly day of aviation, motoring, entertainment and food.

What's On

The Wheels display will feature a wide range of vehicles, including supercars, classic and vintage cars, rally and racing cars, military vehicles, tractors, and motorcycles.

The Wings display will provide a rare opportunity to view aircraft up close on the apron and in the hangar. Aircraft expected to attend include a Eurofox, Van's RV-7, Bell 505X helicopter, the historic Beagle Pup prototype, and a variety of other general aviation aircraft. Pilots and owners will be available throughout the day to talk to visitors about their aircraft.

Visitors will also be able to see the Channel Islands Air Search Islander, the popular Junior Joey, and displays from Guernsey Flying Training Ltd, including a Piper Warrior aircraft and flight simulator.

The Guernsey Model Club will be exhibiting model aircraft, with demonstrations including aircraft taxiing, drone flying, and professional model-painting techniques.

Entertainment and Refreshments

Live music performances will take place throughout the day, while the clubhouse will host themed displays of die-cast aircraft and airport models. The first-floor clubroom and balcony offer excellent views of the runway and taxiways.

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day, including barbecue food, homemade cakes, tea and coffee, refreshments from the bar, and Le Hechet Farm ice creams.

• Babies in prams/pushchairs: Free
• Parking: £1 per vehicle

Parking will be available at Forest Primary School and Le Rondin School, with all parking proceeds donated to the schools.

A raffle with a selection of special prizes will also be held during the event.

Wings & Wheels is one of the Aero Club's most popular events and offers a unique opportunity to experience aviation and motoring up close in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
