BWCI Guernsey Camerata Family Concert 2025
GSO with local conductor Alan Gough MBE present a concert, which is for all the family, aged 8 to 80. The programme includes music to inspire the young and entertain the not-so-young with a packed programme of classical greats.
The Overture “Girl Crazy” by Gershwin, a Slavonic Dance by Dvorak and Overture to “Candide” by Bernstein are all mixed with Parade of the Wooden Soldiers by Jessel, Entry of the Gladiators (or Clowns) by Fucik and themes from the film “How To Train Your Dragon”.
A first for the family concerts is a Concerto for Alto Saxophone by the composer and arranger of light music, Ronald Binge. This features local music teacher Katie Platt as soloist.
