Explore the labyrinthine of once-secret corridors and rooms at Batterie Mirus, a hidden gem of military history which has recently undergone restoration work by Festung Guernsey.

Spread over an area of approximately 1km x 0.75km, Batterie Mirus was the largest battery built in the Channel Islands during the Second World War and originally housed huge 30.5cm Naval guns.

Most of the structures remain, including all four of the gun emplacements and the adjoining accommodation, and experts from Festung will be on-hand to share their knowledge and answer questions.

Parking will be available at La Hougette School. The event is free of charge, but donations are welcome. There is no need to book.
