During this special walk we follow the actual routes of the Operation Hardtack 7 (1943) and Operation Basalt (1942) British Commando raids, that resulted in Adolf Hitler’s infamous Commando Order which was responsible for the deaths of thousands of allied soldiers. We also visit the field where an RAF Lancaster bomber crash-landed in November 1943 after mistaking Sark for the Isle of Wight and, if time permits, a German underground tunnel
