Art En Plein Air
Come along and enjoy a unique (and tasty) afternoon of art, history and creativity. Combining a guided walk with a hands-on workshop, this experience invites you to discover the landscapes, architecture and viewpoints that have inspired generations of artists before creating your own artwork in the beautiful surroundings of Candie Gardens.
Led by accredited tour guide Dave Bartram, you'll explore the streets of St Peter Port, uncovering the locations that have inspired notable artists, including Brenda Munson and J.M.W. Turner. Along the way, you'll learn about the artworks created in these settings and gain a fresh perspective on Guernsey's rich artistic heritage.
The tour finishes at Candie Gardens, where you'll enjoy a light refreshment featuring traditional Guernsey gâche at Café Victoria before taking part in a relaxing watercolour workshop with local artist Louise Le Pelley.
Taking inspiration from the surrounding gardens and historic buildings, Louise will guide you through creating your own artwork in a fun and informal session. Suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced artists, all materials are provided.
