The Story of Adele H, the Oscar nominated film that tells the extraordinary story of Victor Hugo’s youngest daughter, was filmed in Guernsey 50 years ago by the celebrated director François Truffaut. Many island locations will be familiar today.

The film starred 19 year old French actress Isabelle Adjani in her first major film role, for which she was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress in the Leading Role. The film won 11 international awards, including Best Actress for Adjani and Best Director for Truffaut.

Venue: Princess Royal Centre, Les Ozouets

Time: 4pm - 5.30pm

Tickets are available from guernseytickets.gg and are free.

Please note there are two booking options on guernseytickets.gg – booking for film only will not allow admission to the talks.
