Most of the defences built by the occupying German forces between 1940 and 1945 faced out to sea, so a sea cruise gives you the best viewpoint.
The cruise takes in the Brehon Tower and Fort George before running along the dramatic south coast where you’ll get a close look at the iconic MP4 and MP5 towers, and Batterie Dollmann.
You will then return along the coast to visit the site of the first commando landing and then stop for a look at Batterie Strassburg. Back at St Peter Port, you’ll learn about Castle Cornet and the harbour defences, and hear the story of the harbour bombing.
The cruise will last approximately 75 minutes.
