It is a time capsule of the history of the Family who are still there after just over 800 years, it contains architecture, artifacts and art relating to members of the family who have been Sailors Soldiers Inventors Adventurers Explorers, Judges, Generals, Admirals, Artists, Governors, Privateers,Sportsmen,Teachers, Diplomats, Merchants and collectors.
It is open for personally conducted tours during the Summer months from Easter or April which ever is the earlier to October see website for specific timings.
Also on site are an unusual RHS Partner Garden, a Coppersmith, Celebrated Sculpture Park, a much revisited Tearoom/Garden, and a relaxed and inexpensive 9 hole par 3 Pitch & Putt with free equipment hire.
Farmers Market every Saturday.
The original Out of Town Market with a galaxy of different Stalls offering Fresh Local grown Vegetables, Locally Raised Free Range Beef, Lamb, Mutton,& Charcuterie, Soft Toys, Home Made Cakes and Pies, Vegetarian and Vegan delicacies. Hand made Craft Jewellery, Bric-a-brac, Antiques, Collectables, Herbal Remedies, Seaweed slug repellent, Guernsey Honey, Home made Jams, Chutneys, Marmalades, Quality selected second hand Books, Island Knitwear, Local Sea Salt ,Wood Carving, Plants, etc the market is always changing and some of these may not be there every week whilst other things might be 9am to 12pm Sausmarez Manor St Martin (In the Winter it is in the Parish Hall)
Evening Ghost Tours.
Visit the Most Haunted House in the Island and be conducted by the Seigneur who will be recounting around 10 different hauntings including the Nanny of the 28 children, the Haunted Dolls House and the Late Seigneur, etc. with a free Glass of wine. Very Popular so booking essential. Sausmarez Manor at 6.30pm on Thursdays. (groups of 6 or more can book other times and days if available)
Manor Railways Ride on Train
Be driven through part of the Wooded Garden populated by Toy Animals, for just under a 1/4 mile on 7 1/4 gage Diesel Outline Locomotive Open at Weekends and School Holidays May till September.10am - 4;30pm
Guernsey Potato Peel Pie Tours
Visit the Manor mentioned in the book and be entranced by the readings of the dairies of an actual incident as recounted in the book of the Pig and the German Officer. These Dairies were written by Peter de Sausmarez's great aunt with accuracy and humour despite the dark days of starvation and privation everybody had to face. There will be a chance to taste an individual Potato Peel Pie and have a free glass of wine. Booking is essential for the 6:30pm tour on a Wednesday given by the Seigneur.
Historic House Tours
Conducted Tours of Sausmarez Manor, the Islands Stately Home are an interesting and often amusing way of enjoying a rainy day or as a refuge from too much sun. Spanning 800 years in the ownership of the Seigneurs de Sausmarez, the architecture and contents reflect the ebb and flow of the fortunes of the Island and family over these eventful centuries. House Tours take place on Mon – Thurs, 10.30am and 11.30am; Fri and Sat, 11am. Price: Adults £7, senior citizen £6, students £5.50, children under 14 £5.50, children under 3 go FREE
ArtParkS Sculpture Park/ Sculpture Festival
Set in the Wild Subtropical Gardens at Sausmarez Manor Hosting the 20th Annual Sculpture Festival with about 200 sculptures from around a dozen countries from around the World. Most are for sale - see website for a preview or to choose from the 10,000 + sculptures on the website which is possibly the largest dedicated website in Europe if not the world.
The Happy Hollow 9-hole Par 3 Pitch and Putt Course
Free Clubs, Score Cards and Balls every day from Easter to End of October. Weather permitting.
The Patois Etout Café and Teagarden
Open for Home Made Cakes, light refreshments, and local ice cream daily between Easter to End Oct 10.00-5.00 or dusk whichever is earlier.
There is also a children's playarea on site.
Open daily, although some facilities may not be available all year.

All the Gardens are accessable to wheel chairs though the Subtropical Gardens should be avoided during and after rain. The manor is accessible if you can master 8 shallow steps.
All Parking is free though you may want to contribute to the Charity doing the Parking for the Manor Market and the giant rare plant sale.
