The largest public park in Guernsey and home to The National Trust of Guernsey's Folk and Costume Museum, as well as a café, playground, open grass lawns, and Japanese pavilion, Saumarez Park has plenty to keep all of the family entertained.
Camellias and magnolias often grow to be huge in Guernsey, not least in the public gardens of Saumarez Park. Its exotic species were originally planted by a Guernsey diplomat who had served as the British Ambassador to Japan.
A nature trail links the park with nearby Cobo Bay, making it a great destination for a picnic and a walk with the family.
Admission: Entry free of charge (except when certain events are held when there are charges for parking and entry).
The park is open all year round from dawn until dusk.
