Le Vaux de Monel and la Varde Rock
Naturalised garden with panoramic views over Rocquaine Bay on Guernsey's west coast. Good paths for walking and good seating.
Le Vaux de Monel is an area owned by The National Trust of Guernsey and is a secluded wooded valley giving beautiful views across Rocquaine Bay to the Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum. La Varde Rock forms a distinctive feature, with quite a flat top. La Varde is likely to have been shaped about 180,000 years ago by the sea when sea levels were higher.
