The Alderney Sailing Club caters for a wide range of sailing interests ranging from dinghy sailing to blue water cruisers. The Alderney Sailing Club is a focal point for visiting yachtsmen and their crews, and has an active junior section.

The club boasts a fleet of Lasers, Mirrors and Laser Picos, mostly owned by the club. RYA instructors run courses during the Summer and junior members are especially welcome. The Club house, with a projective position at the harbour, is a welcoming place and should you wish to visit on your boat, you will be guaranteed a warm reception. The deck, created by Alderney Sailing Club member Ronnie Cairnduff, is a beautiful landmark for sea skippers as they head into Braye Harbour.

Should you wish to embark on a training course, the Alderney Yacht Club is a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre to provide instruction for Shore-Based Day Skipper Theory and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory Courses. The club also offers VHF/GMDSS Radio Short Range Certificate Courses which takes one full day of instruction and assessment.

Alderney Yacht Club also offer a ‘Junior Dinghy’ sailing course for children aged 10 to 16.

There are many events at the Alderney Yacht Club throughout the Summer. During July and August, do not miss the afternoon cream teas that are served by club members daily. Perhaps the social highlight of the year is one of Alderney’s most prestigious events, the annual black tie Laying-Up Supper.
