Visiting Chefs and Culinary Competition
Join us at three exclusive dinner events that will see visiting chefs put a unique spin on local Guernsey cuisine. With a diverse demonstration of flavours and cultures, these evenings are a true celebration of the artistry of cooking.
Stephen Holland at La Reunion | 4 October
Executive Head Chef at Lough Erne Resort, Stephen Holland will be preparing a four-course meal at La Reunion Restaurant this October. Holland has honed his skills by working across the globe, and believes in using his food to tell a story.
He is a long-time advocate for using local produce, and will be bringing together the finest produce from Guernsey and Ireland. Coupled with the beautiful view of the island’s west coast, this event promises both scenic and culinary delights.
Including a speciality cocktail, this event is £60 per person and also offers a £25 optional wine pairing.
Guernsey v Jersey at Duke of Richmond | 11 October
Perfect for food enthusiasts, this eight-course tasting meal at the Duke of Richmond will allow you to be the judge between two competing teams, as three chefs from Guernsey go head-to-head against Jersey.
The chefs will prepare a series of dishes - including an amuse bouche, starter, main and dessert - incorporating local produce from both islands.

Bertus Basson at the OGH | 12 October
Joining the festivities from South Africa, chef Bertus Basson will be offering a four-course meal at the OGH based on the best Guernsey-based ingredients, with a unique South African twist.
Basson was the Eat Out San Pellegrino & Acqua Panna Chef of the Year 2019, and is a popular television personality. He has cultivated a family of restaurants that includes Chorus, Eike, Kantien, Spek & Bone, Geuwels, Clara's Barn and De Vrije Burger.
This evening of fine culinary fusion is not to be missed!

Producer Tastings
Get straight to the heart of local Guernsey produce by embarking on a Local Producer Tour. With a behind-the-scenes look at the artisanal food of the island, you will see how local producers create their products, including farm-fresh produce, cider and gin.
Guernsey Dairy Producer Tasting | 7 and 9 October
Looking for a fun family morning on the island? Discover local Guernsey produce by hopping on the Petit Train and venturing to the Guernsey Dairy where you will tour the facility and indulge in a whole host of dairy products renowned both on and off-island, alongside other local treats.
This event is priced at £30 per person.
Rocquette Cider Tasting | 8 October 10am and 1pm
A local favourite, get to know Guernsey’s famous Rocquette Cider at Les Cache Farm. With a selection of flavours to be sampled, guests will learn about the social history of cider and will also enjoy a variety of local food from Le Gouffre restaurant.

Channel Islands Liquor Company Tasting | 9 and 11 October
Join the Channel Islands Liquor Company for an evening of spirit tasting, alongside delicious bites from local Bangladeshi restaurant Dhaka. Tailored to seasoned connoisseurs, novices keen to learn, and those simply looking for a fun evening, this event is the perfect autumnal activity.

The Little Big Brew Co | Time to be confirmed
Discover how a local business came to be when three like-minded individuals realised their perfect symbiotic relationship: the beer maker, the beer seller and the beer drinker. During the evening you will sample the beers produced by The Little Big Brew Co. and enjoy a backstage look at how this company grew from an idea to a blossoming business.
