Where to Find Handmade Chocolates on The Islands of Guernsey

As a group of islands famous for our dairy products, it should come as no surprise that we have an excellent offering of local handmade quality chocolates made by wonderfully talented local chocolatiers.

Here are three of the best chocolate shops on The Islands of Guernsey.

Rebecca’s Channel Island Chocolates

Rebecca’s Chocolates was established in Guernsey over 20 years ago - and although the business has changed hands, the passion for quality confectionary remains.

The company offer a huge product range, from fruit- and liquor-filled truffles, to lavender chocolates and homemade fudge. For something fun, choose from chocolate chess sets, casino chips, Lego pieces and more. You can even buy a chocolate Mr Potato Head!

If you have dietary requirements, there is also a popular vegan range, plus a dark chocolate range which is suitable for those with a lactose intolerance. The team can also create bespoke chocolate creations of any shape and size.

As stated on their website, 'a day without chocolate is a day without sunshine', so pop in to Rebecca’s Chocolates at Oatlands Village.

Oatlands Village is home to a variety of unique attractions, in the form of historic brick kilns (featuring the amazing two islands of Guernsey story), thatched barns, craft and embroidery shops, a jewellers, a pet shop, a restaurant, a mini-golf course, trampolines, children’s go-karts and a play barn.

Caragh Chocolates, Sark

Inspired by the quality of the local dairy on the idyllic island of Sark, Caragh first started making chocolate for her family back in 1989.

Over the years, the business has grown to international acclaim and is a proud 'Great Taste' producer, shipping all over the world.

You can visit the family's chocolate kitchen on the side of their farmhouse home (located just before La Coupée), next to their tea garden and small shop. The kitchen is open to the public so you can see where the chocolates are made - and even have a go yourself in one of their chocolate-making workshops.

Offering everything from fun chocolate bark creations, to delicious flavoured bars and truffles, every product retains its traditional, local charm, being made by hand and then transported by horse and carriage to the harbour, to begin their journey to you.
