Outdoor Guernsey
Seeking an adventure? Outdoor Guernsey offer Adventure Days during the school holidays for children aged 8-14 years. Running similarly to a school week, children are able to take part in activities such as coasteering, beach games, high ropes, paddleboarding and Nerf team games to name just a few! If you’ve got younger children, Outdoor Guernsey also offer 2 hour long kayak explorations for children aged 4+ where you can explore the island coastline in a memorable and unique way.
Island Rib Tours
For an exhilarating experience of Guernsey’s coastline and wildlife, jump on an island rib voyage, You’ll get to explore some impressive bays and caves, and if you’re lucky you may even spot some dolphins in our waters!
Rockpooling
Thanks to our famous 33-foot tidal range, our unique rock pools are revealed twice a day for exploring and offer something different every time! Exploring them will open your eyes to the weird and wonderful world of sea critters, so grab a net and bucket and see what you can find today!
Guernsey Donkey Derby and Charities Fair
On Saturday 17th August, Sausmarez Park will be invaded with Guernsey’s favourite donkeys for the fabulous Donkey Derby. The day will be filled with donkey races, charity stalls and competitions and even the chance to ride a donkey! Entry is completely free too - what a bonus!
The North, West & South Shows
Every year, the local horticultural societies around the island host North, West & South Shows. Each show runs over 2 days and all offer something completely different. The South Show is the perfect opportunity to show off your best baked goods and prized produce, while the North and West Shows both offer fairground rides for more adventurous types. Animal lovers will be warmly welcomed by the cattle, pigs, goats and sheep at the West Show, while the North Show puts on a stunning display in the Battle of Flowers that is not to be missed! All three occur at different points throughout the summer, so aim for the hat trick as you won’t be disappointed!
