The most peaceful corner of Guernsey and the closest Glamping to nature’s swimming pool, with the sea being a pebbles throw away. Time for a dip before breakfast, or a jump off the slipway at high tide before a 3 minute walk returning via the sunken path to warm up and cook on a fire, or if you prefer, in your fully equipped kitchen. The high vantage point faces west across the seascape taking in the Hanois lighthouse to Lihou Island.
Open from 1st April until 31st October with only 3 bespoke tents found by meandering paths amongst mature blackthorn, offering a fairy folk feel to the land. Two bathrooms in the facilities barn, one with a roll top bath, plenty of places to plug-in phones, charge your lanterns and if you’ve forgotten your breakfast, I can pop off for you (30 min walk or 3 mins by car) or order a food basket.
WildGuernsey is run by Tara and D’Arcy, with our two young sons. We can share knowledge of secluded picnic spots and bays for sacred sea swimming, great family activities, where to buy local, to get an authentic experience of Guernsey and the neighbouring Islands. During your stay you can take a Wildfood workshop, Seashore Safari, engage your family in earth education activities and immerse yourself in fireside camp craft whilst watching buzzards circle above.
