Macro Photography Workshops

Start: 6:00 pm
Ends: 9:00 pm

The first 15-20 minutes will be spent discussing the creative process; how we form creative ideas, looking at how we set up our cameras for a macro photography session, and how to create foregrounds and backdrops for our miniature scenes. Then the real fun can begin! We will spend the remainder of the workshop creating miniature worlds using the props and figurines that I will be bringing along on the day.

If you would rather attend the workshop without bringing along all of your photography gear that is absolutely fine. I would however encourage participants to bring along their camera gear (if you have a camera/tripod/zoom or macro lens) as I believe you will have a more meaningful learning experience if you are setting up your own camera. You can always just bring along your mobile phone if you prefer as I'll be documenting all of the dioramas too..

Each participant gets a FREE copy of my eBook (A step-by-step guide to Miniature Worlds) to take away at the end.

I will be hosting this workshop in the Castel Douzaine Room which contains plenty of tables for making the work on. I'll be bringing along lots of lighting options, and thousands of tiny Little People!! I have been practising macro photography for 28 years now so you will be in good hands - my Workshops are suitable for complete beginners so please don’t feel like you require any previous experience with macro photography to attend.

After attending one of my Workshops you will have loads of exciting new work to include in your photography portfolio and show off on social media.

Terms: If you are unable to attend a Workshop having already placed a booking, I require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice for either cancellation, or to move you on to a later Workshop. If a minimum of 2 weeks' notice is not provided a refund (or alternative booking date) cannot be offered. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
