Petit Bot is a very popular location with visitors and local people as it offers a lovely sandy breach when the tide is out.
Le Gouffre is an area of outstanding natural beauty located on the southern coast of Guernsey.
Here you can find remnants of Roman defences as well as Corbiere Castle
One of the more challenging walks, this section of the South Coast definitely merits the time and effort as there is plenty to explore. Petit Bôt is one of the prettiest bays in Guernsey and was once guarded by a loop-holed tower which is still standing some two hundred years later. This next section of coastline is the route less travelled, but the scenery is no-less spectacular, notably over Pointe de la Moye with its boat moorings. When you arrive at Le Gouffre, it may well be worth deviating a little off the path as here you will find a quirky little gift shop and somewhere to stop for a drink and something to eat. The walk ends at a cove known as Le Havre de Bon Repos and here we can find the remnants of Roman defences as well as those of Corbière Castle.
