William Henry Pengelley RN – A Naval Life

Keith Pengelley of Thinking On Your Feet will discuss his grandfather’s incredible life in Royal Naval service.

William saw service and action during WW1 and its aftermath, he saw service on China Station in the early thirties, was involved in operations during The Spanish Civil War and of course further service and action during WW2. Mined in the aftermath of WW1 and torpedoed in WW2, William was often at the sharp end of both these cataclysmic conflicts.

With many unique documents and photographs, this will be an illustrated talk. This is a Thinking On Your Feet presentation in association with Sula Gallery.

Light refreshments will be served. Please arrive at 2pm for 2.30pm start – duration: approx. 90 minutes including Q & A.
