The parish of Torteval will be hosting a special Liberation Party for the 75th anniversary of the Islands’ liberation from occupation during WWII.
This special event will be opened by the New Bailiff. There will be live music, sheep racing, Crown & Anchor (a popular and traditional Guernsey game), meat draw (traditional raffle) and licensed bar.
There will also be an exhibition of occupation and evacuation photos and memorabilia.
The whole family can also enjoy bouncy castles, paddle boats, merry go round, children’s activities, slip and slide and more. The Guernsey-based band City Limits will be playing from 8pm.
