There’s nothing better than a summer picnic spread alongside a glorious view! There are some great spots to go for a scenic picnic in Guernsey. We’ve picked out our top recommended locations, so grab a picnic basket this weekend and get exploring!

Bordeaux

One of the best spots to overlook neighbouring island Herm. The small harbour paints a postcard perfect view for a picnic with the fishing boats scattered along the shoreline.

Petit Port

A local’s favourite. The 270 odd stairs down to the secluded beach will work up your appetite and means you can enjoy that extra slice of dessert, completely guilt free! The workout is well worth the journey as an open bay of idyllic golden sand awaits you.  However, we would recommend avoiding the heavy bottles and advise packing light for this picnic outing!

Candie Gardens

You don’t have to venture out of town for a picturesque lunch! Candie Gardens are beautifully maintained, blossoming gardens that provide a pocket of serenity against the hustle and bustle of St Peter Port.

An insider tip for you; grab a picnic spot at the end of the day and watch the sunset from one of the most picturesque spots in Guernsey at Cobo Bay. Alternatively, ditch the picnic and enjoy delicious takeaway fish and chips from Cobo Fish Bar, best enjoyed while sat on the beach!
