This year’s Autumn Walking Festival, taking place from 19th September to 4th October 2020, features 50 different walks to suit all abilities and interests, allowing you to discover the island of Guernsey in a truly unique way.

From coastal explorations and countryside rambles to history and film-themed tours, all interests are catered for!

Take a Tasty Walk

Not visiting during one of the annual walking festivals? Fear not, you can explore the very best of our Bailiwick with a self-guided “Tasty Walk”! This a series of 20 audio-guided walks highlights the best of Guernsey’ stunning landscape, food and heritage.

Explore rugged cliff paths and long sweeping bays at your own pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop for an unforgettable photo or a bite to eat. Fans of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society novel and film can walk in Juliet’s footsteps and visit the locations mentioned in the book with one of two occupation-themed Walks!

Discover Our Sister Isles

Feeling particularly adventurous? Why not consider and island hopping holiday, and discover one or more of Guernsey’s scenic sister islands during your stay?

The smaller isles of Herm, Sark and Alderney are all easily accessible from Guernsey, and each offers its own unique charm.

Herm is a true paradise for beach lovers, Sark’s dramatic cliffscapes are a sight to behold, and Alderney is a haven for wildlife.

Island Hopping

Walk the Whole of Guernsey

The Saffery Rotary Walk is Guernsey’s only organised around-the-island walk and is open to individuals and teams. This event supports local charities and offers an exciting opportunity to take on a coastline challenge that covers 39 miles of stunning seascapes.

Next year’s walk will take place on Saturday 15th June. Registration opens in December 2018; keep an eye out for details on the Saffery Rotary Walk website.
