This hidden gem can be hard to find but worth discovering. The tearooms are a short climb up from Moulin Huet Bay and offer a spectacular view of the Bay that is well worth the walk. The café is perfectly located directly on the Renoir Trail route - a cliff path route with large metal frame displays of the sites that Renoir painted during his stay in Guernsey, making it well worth a stop.
This original early 20th century café building offers a great selection of home made cakes and cream teas along with light lunches and snacks. Make sure to try the signature sandwich, made with locally caught fresh Guernsey crab or a freshly-baked scone with a dollop of Guernsey butter and cream.
On a nice day, take advantage of the picnic bench seating outside and enjoy the view of Moulin Huet Bay, famously immortalised in Renoir’s paintings of Guernsey. Also, with a lovely seating area indoors for the less than nice days with the same beautiful view.
