A 2.5 hour walk through St Peter Port, from Town Church uphill to Brothers Cemetery, Upland Road, Candie Cemetery, Candie Gardens and Cambridge park, downhill through les Canichers and back along the seafront to Town.

Hear historical stories about the Town cemeteries and their residents, famous and infamous. Pay tribute to Guernsey’s oldest resident who died in 1903 just short of her 111th birthday. Ever wondered how Big Sam McDonald, all of 6 ft 10 inches (Upland road stone) died? Why are the Blue mountains so called? Lastly, what ever happened to the widow and children of the last man hung in Guernsey in 1854? Hear this and more on this guided tour of St Peter Port before it became the ‘New Town’ in the 19th century.
