On a clear day, flying to Guernsey offers spectacular views across the Bailiwick.
From the sandy shores of Herm's Shell Beach to La Coupee in Sark, you can get a little taster of what’s in store on the ground, from the air. Flights to Guernsey from London Gatwick take only 45 minutes, with those from regional airports including Southampton and Manchester taking upwards of 30 minutes. Regular flights operate from major UK airports all year round, as well as some seasonal services from destinations further afield.
The current airport opened in 2004 and is modern and user-friendly. It has both a taxi rank and a bus stop that runs a service from the terminal to destinations around the island. Flying is still the quickest way to get to the Channel Islands, giving you more time to enjoy your time in the Bailiwick.
Three airlines currently offer regular flights to Guernsey: Aurigny Air Services, Blue Islands and Flybe. Summer charter only flights from European destinations are operated by Air Berlin and VLM.
Which? magazine's annual readers’ survey has recently ranked Aurigny as one of world's best short haul carrier. (January 2016)
