Ferries

St Peter Port harbour is one of the prettiest in Europe, and the island's capital provides the perfect backdrop when arriving by sea.

Ferries to Guernsey from the UK cross from Poole, taking around three hours. A traditional ferry operates in all weathers, all-year-round, from Portsmouth.

Travelling to and from St Malo, France by ferry takes a little over two hours. There are also seasonal ferries to and from Dielette, Granville and Barneville-Carteret on the Normandy coast of France.

Inter-island ferry travel for island hopping day trips or longer stay is available from Guernsey to Herm, Sark, Alderney and Jersey.

As a foot passenger, or if travelling with your car, motorcycle or bicycle, your ferry to Guernsey will deliver you straight into the heart of the island's capital, St Peter Port.
