Ferries

St Peter Port harbour is one of the prettiest in Europe and the island's capital provides the perfect backdrop when arriving by sea.

Ferries to Guernsey cross from ports along the south coast of the UK and take as little as three hours. A traditional ferry operates in all weathers, and all-year-round, from Portsmouth.

Travelling to and from St Malo, France by ferry takes a little more than two hours. There are also seasonal ferries to and from the Normandy Coast of France.

As a foot passenger, or if travelling with your car, motorcycle or bicycle, your ferry will deliver you straight into the heart of the island's capital.

The nearest taxi rank is a ten-minute walk, and so if you do need assistance, visitors are advised to book a taxi for pick up at the harbour terminal.

The Guernsey Information Centre is also a ten minute walk away and is full of helpful information to help you during your stay.
