The panels were stitched by the residents of the Bailiwick with each one bearing the crest of the parish that stitched it. The story in each panel is brought to life by an audio guide which is available in English, French, German and Dutch. The Whittaker Gallery in St James provides a permanent home for the Tapestry where it is preserved and displayed for the enjoyment of all.
The Guernsey Tapestry and shop are open from Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm from the last Monday in April till the last Thursday in October.
For large groups (over 10 people) we are happy to try to open outside these times. Please contact The Tapestry, giving at least ten days notice and they will be happy to help.
