Explore Castle Cornet, Guernsey's ancient royal fortress, which has stood guard over the town and harbour of St Peter Port for nearly eight centuries. Allow plenty of time, as the Castle is surprisingly large and houses five museums:

A guided tour begins at 10.30 most mornings and the Noon Day Gun is fired daily by soldiers in 19th century costume. From Tuesday to Sunday (April- Sept) the Guernsey History in Action Company enacts stories from Guernsey's past at 2.15pm and the Regency Dancers perform in the Hatton most weekends at 12.15pm. Refectory Café, Shop, Children's Activities.
