Description

For fourteen years Hauteville House was the home of the famous French writer Victor Hugo, during his time spent in exile from France, decorating it personally and writing his masterpieces. Guided tours by appointment only in English or French and last one hour. Visits through the house are by guided tours only.

Opening: Open from 1 April until 30 September.

From 1st April the museum is open from 12 noon to 4pm from Monday to Saturday.
From 1st May the museum is open from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday, including all bank holidays. Hauteville House closes at the end of September for the season.
